  1. Relying more on systems, technology, or people than on God (Jeremiah 17:5; Psalm 20:7)
  2. Living daily life with little conscious dependence on God (Deuteronomy 8:17–18; John 15:5)
  3. Doubting God’s willingness or ability to intervene (James 1:6–7; Matthew 13:58)
  4. Failing to recognize God’s work when it happens (Luke 17:17–18; Romans 1:21)
  5. Attributing God’s actions to coincidence, luck, or human effort (Isaiah 42:8; Daniel 4:30–32)
