"If the LORD delights in a person's way, He makes their steps firm; though they stumble, they will not fall, for the LORD upholds them with His hand." (Psalm 37:23,24)

New Year’s EVE, 2020 “Trust in Adversity”

Hello my “Walking with Jesus” friends all around the world.

On this New Years Eve day, we are reminded how big our world really is! The new year, 2021 will arrive in a different time zone of our world, every hour for 24 hours! Think about that a moment!

May I take just a few seconds to thank all of you for joining me in 2020 on our “Walking with Jesus” journey. You live in 81 countries and over 1700 cities around the world! Thousands of you, most of whom I’ve never met face to face, but God has us joined together in this exciting spiritual growth journey. A special thank you to those of you who felt led of God to share financially in helping this humble ministry become reality this year.

We are so excited for what we believe God wants to do in 2021 with “Walking with Jesus”. Please pray for my ministry partners and I as we continue to try and be fully obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit in developing this ministry. It was just one year ago that my partners developed the two APP’s which have made it possible for thousands of people, especially in Africa and Asia, to gain access to “Walking with Jesus” through their telephones, as many of them do not have computers.

For this final “Walking with Jesus” for 2020, I’d like to share with you a video clip from a message God gave me and I delivered a few weeks ago, to a dear group of people who were grieving the sudden death of their Pastor and friend. That man was a good friend of mine, and for 14 weeks, I had the privilege every Sunday of opening God’s Word with those dear folks as they, like you and me, battled the complications of the pandemic of Coronavirus, but also as they battled the deep grief of suddenly losing their pastor.

Oh friends, God met with that grieving church and me each Sunday, and my “Walking with Jesus” ministry partners have developed a VIDEO “Walking with Jesus” web site which has all of those messages and more. This clip will take you to that web site, and we hope you find it very helpful as you move into 2021.

In 2020 everyone of us faced unexpected “Tests of Adversity”. I wonder where you turned for answers? I turned to God’s Word, the leading of the Holy Spirit, and wisdom of people older than me, who have walked with Jesus longer than me. People like my 93 year old father. And this verse he has given me several times in my life, proved to be reliable in 2020 and I believe it will be essential in 2021: “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways honor God and He will direct your path. Do not be wise in your own eyes, fear the LORD and shun evil.” (Prov. 3:5-7)

Now friends, join with me in considering how God works for our good, our growth, and His glory, in the “Tests of Adversity”. . .for there are coming even more challenging times ahead in 2021. When you are finished, I suggest you take your journal and reflect on your 2020. What were the “Tests of Adversity” that you faced this past year? How did God grow your TRUST in Him? How has God prepared you and positioned you for 2021?

Now here’s the video link in  my notes, and God bless you as you study God’s Word with me…
