📘 LESSONS LEARNED

God’s grace in Jesus Christ is fully sufficient for our salvation, and any attempt to earn righteousness through human effort weakens our trust in Christ’s completed work and confuses the Gospel.

💥 SINS / FAILURES

  1. Trying to earn God’s favor through religious performance instead of resting fully in Jesus Christ (Galatians 2:16; Ephesians 2:8–9)
  2. Allowing false teaching to confuse the clear message of the Gospel (Galatians 1:6–9; Galatians 2:4–5)
  3. Living inconsistently in a way that causes others to misunderstand grace and truth (Galatians 2:11–14; 1 Timothy 4:16)
  4. Holding on to personal agendas when God calls us to a mission that may be difficult or uncomfortable (Galatians 2:7–9; Luke 9:23)

🏆 SUCCESSES / SPIRITUAL GROWTH

  1. Trusting completely in the finished work of Jesus Christ for forgiveness, justification, and righteousness (Galatians 2:16; Romans 5:1)
  2. Living each day by faith in the Son of God who loved us and gave Himself for us (Galatians 2:20; 2 Corinthians 5:17)
  3. Submitting our life mission to God even when His assignment does not match our personal expectations (Galatians 2:7–9; Acts 9:15)
  4. Standing firmly for Gospel clarity when others become confused or compromised (Galatians 2:11–14; Jude 3)

🧭 LEADERSHIP DYNAMICS

  1. Godly leaders must protect the clarity of the Gospel, even when correction is difficult (Galatians 2:11–14; Titus 1:9)
  2. Leadership assignments come from God, not merely from human logic, background, or preference (Galatians 2:7–9; 1 Corinthians 1:27–29)
  3. Even respected leaders can create confusion when their actions contradict Gospel truth (Galatians 2:11–13; James 3:1)
  4. Faithful leaders confront hypocrisy not to win arguments, but to preserve truth and protect believers (Galatians 2:14; 2 Timothy 4:2)

🌍 EKKLESIA (THE CHURCH) PERSPECTIVE

  1. The Church must never add human works, traditions, or religious requirements to the Gospel of grace (Galatians 2:16; Acts 15:10–11)
  2. God sends different leaders to different people groups for the advance of Christ’s mission (Galatians 2:7–10; Matthew 28:19–20)
  3. Local churches must guard believers from false teaching that distorts the sufficiency of Jesus (Galatians 2:4–5; Ephesians 4:14–15)
  4. The unity of the Church depends on shared confidence in Christ, not cultural customs or religious performance (Galatians 3:28; Ephesians 2:14–16)
