Jesus style LOVE asks whether our knowledge, faith, giving and sacrifice carry the love Jesus demonstrated. Today we consider His command, His self-giving example and the transforming mercy Paul experienced.

WATCH OUTS

1. Do not mistake knowledge or impressive faith for mature love; spiritual ability cannot replace love for people (1 Corinthians 13:2; 8:1).
2. Do not use wisdom to control others; wisdom from above is considerate and full of mercy (Proverbs 9:10; James 3:13-17).
3. Do not turn faith into a performance that neglects people; living faith expresses itself through love (Galatians 5:6; James 2:15-17).

SUCCESSES / SPIRITUAL GROWTH

1. Let Jesus define the love you practice; His command points to the way He has loved us (John 13:34-35; 15:12-13).
2. Welcome the connection between obedience, love and joy instead of reducing discipleship to duty alone (John 15:9-14; 1 John 5:3).
3. Receive the mercy of Christ as the beginning of change; Paul became a witness to grace he did not earn (Acts 9:1-20; 1 Timothy 1:12-16).

LEADERSHIP DYNAMICS

1. Evaluate leadership by how people are loved, not merely by knowledge, gifting or public influence (1 Corinthians 13:1-3; John 13:35).
2. Use authority to serve rather than dominate; Jesus makes service the pattern for leadership (Mark 10:42-45; 1 Peter 5:2-3).
3. Give practical help with respect and without favoritism, recognizing the dignity of those receiving it (James 2:1-9; Proverbs 14:31).

EKKLESIA PERSPECTIVE

1. Let mutual love make the identity of Jesus disciples visible in the congregation (John 13:34-35; 1 John 4:11-12).
2. Treat every spiritual gift as a way to serve the body; love governs its use (1 Corinthians 12:7; 13:1-3; 14:1).
3. Build a community where practical generosity meets real need without humiliating the person in need (Acts 4:32-35; James 2:15-17).
