God often grants rapid influence to His truth when hearts are open, but that influence will inevitably face opposition from those who resist Jesus.

  1. Using personal influence to oppose God’s work rather than advance it (Acts 13:50; Matthew 23:13)
  2. Rejecting Jesus while maintaining an appearance of religious devotion (John 5:39-40; Matthew 15:8)
  3. Allowing jealousy, fear, pride, or prejudice to determine spiritual decisions (Acts 13:45; James 3:14-16)
  4. Closing one’s heart to biblical truth despite clear evidence from God’s Word (Acts 13:46; Hebrews 3:15)
  5. Being deceived by sin because its early stages appear attractive or harmless (Hebrews 3:13; Proverbs 14:12)

🏆 SUCCESSES / SPIRITUAL GROWTH

  1. Welcoming God’s truth with humility and an open heart (Acts 13:48; James 1:21)
  2. Using influence to help others encounter Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:16; Colossians 4:5-6)
  3. Remaining faithful when opposition or persecution arises (Matthew 5:10-12; 2 Timothy 3:12)
