📘 LESSONS LEARNED


The Holy Spirit is actively involved in genuine salvation, unites believers with Jesus Christ, empowers them for spiritual vitality and service, and continues Christ’s mission of building His Church among every people and in every part of the world.

💥 SINS / FAILURES

  1. Assuming that religious knowledge, religious activity, or even baptism automatically means a person has experienced genuine salvation through Jesus Christ
    (Acts 19:1–5; John 3:3–7).
  2. Remaining satisfied with incomplete spiritual understanding instead of allowing God’s truth to correct and deepen what we believe
    (Acts 18:24–26; Acts 19:1–5).
  3. Resisting the work and leadership of the Holy Spirit rather than yielding our lives to His transforming influence
    (Ephesians 4:30; 1 Thessalonians 5:19).

🏆 SUCCESSES / SPIRITUAL GROWTH

  1. Understanding that genuine salvation involves repentance, faith in Jesus Christ, and the transforming work of the Holy Spirit
    (John 3:5–8; Titus 3:5–7).
  2. Recognizing that the Holy Spirit unites believers with Christ as part of God’s saving work
    (Romans 6:3–5; 1 Corinthians 12:13).
  3. Publicly identifying with Jesus through believer’s baptism in obedience to His command
    (Matthew 28:19–20; Acts 2:38–41).

🧭 LEADERSHIP DYNAMICS

  1. Effective spiritual leaders ask discerning questions that reveal what people actually understand and believe
    (Acts 19:2–3; Proverbs 20:5).
  2. Healthy Bible teaching corrects incomplete understanding patiently and clearly rather than merely criticizing people for what they do not know
    (Acts 18:24–26; 2 Timothy 2:24–25).
  3. Spiritual leaders should help believers move from knowledge into obedience, spiritual maturity, and active participation in Christ’s mission
    (Matthew 28:19–20; Ephesians 4:11–13).

🌍 EKKLESIA (THE CHURCH) PERSPECTIVE

  1. Jesus is building one Church composed of genuine believers from many peoples, cultures, and locations
    (Matthew 16:18; Galatians 3:28).
  2. The expansion from Jerusalem to Samaria, Caesarea, and Ephesus demonstrates the fulfillment of Jesus’ promise that His witnesses would reach increasingly distant peoples
    (Acts 1:8; Acts 8:14–17; Acts 10:44–48; Acts 19:6).
  3. The Holy Spirit breaks down human barriers and unites radically different people in Christ
    (Ephesians 2:14–18; 1 Corinthians 12:13).
