📘 LESSONS LEARNED

Jesus Christ has set believers free from the bondage of sin, the burden of legalism, and the curse of the law so they may live by faith, walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, and celebrate their place in God’s redeemed global family.

💥 SINS / FAILURES

  1. Living as though sin still has final authority after Jesus has provided deliverance (Romans 6:6–14; Galatians 3:13)
  2. Trying to earn God’s favor, blessing, or forgiveness through religious effort and legalism (Galatians 3:2–5; Ephesians 2:8–9)
  3. Allowing shame, past failures, or the expectations of others to place us back under spiritual bondage (Galatians 5:1; Romans 8:1)

🏆 SUCCESSES / SPIRITUAL GROWTH

  1. Living daily in the freedom Jesus purchased through His death and resurrection (Galatians 5:1; John 8:36)
  2. Depending on the Holy Spirit for cleansing, gifting, teaching, and spiritual fruit (Galatians 3:5; Galatians 5:22–23)
  3. Celebrating our identity as children of God through faith in Jesus Christ (Galatians 3:26–28; 1 John 3:1)

🧭 LEADERSHIP DYNAMICS

  1. Faithful leaders help God’s people understand the difference between grace and legalism (Galatians 3:10–13; Acts 15:10–11)
  2. Spiritual leaders point believers to the finished work of Jesus, not human performance (2 Corinthians 5:21; Galatians 2:20–21)
  3. Healthy leadership strengthens believers to stand firm in freedom rather than submit again to bondage (Galatians 5:1; Colossians 2:20–23)

🌍 EKKLESIA (THE CHURCH) PERSPECTIVE

  1. The Church is a redeemed global family made up of all who are justified by faith in Jesus Christ (Galatians 3:8, 26–28; Revelation 7:9)
  2. The local church must protect the Gospel from legalism, shame-based religion, and performance-driven spirituality (Galatians 1:6–9; Acts 15:1–11)
  3. The Church should be a community where believers learn to walk in freedom, joy, and the power of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:1, 16; Romans 14:17)
