God’s truth and kingdom cannot be stopped by human opposition, and followers of Jesus are called to obey God courageously even when suffering follows.

  1. Fearing human authority more than obeying God (Acts 5:29; Proverbs 29:25)
  2. Trying to silence God’s truth for personal comfort or control (Acts 5:28; John 3:19–20)
  3. Rejecting conviction about sin and resisting repentance (Acts 5:30–31; Hebrews 3:15)
  4. Allowing pride, reputation, or tradition to oppose God’s work (Acts 5:33; Mark 7:6–8)
