💥 SINS / FAILURES

  1. 1️⃣ Spiritual blindness can stand in front of fulfilled prophecy and still miss what God is doing unless the heart is willing to listen and repent. (Acts 2:12-13; Joel 2:28-29; Luke 24:25-27)
  2. 2️⃣ It is a serious failure to dismiss the work of God with shallow, cynical explanations instead of humbly seeking the truth. (Acts 2:12-15; Proverbs 14:6; Isaiah 5:20)
  3. 3️⃣ Religious familiarity without surrendered faith can leave people guilty of resisting the very Messiah God has clearly accredited. (Acts 2:22-23; John 5:39-40; Matthew 12:22-24)
  4. 4️⃣ Human sin is exposed most clearly when people reject God’s chosen Servant even after overwhelming evidence has been given. (Acts 2:23; Acts 3:13-15; John 15:22-24)
  5. 5️⃣ A hardened conscience tries to evade responsibility, but God’s truth forces people to face their participation in rebellion against Him. (Acts 2:23, 36; Psalm 51:3-4; Romans 3:19)

🏆 SUCCESSES / SPIRITUAL GROWTH

  1. 1️⃣ The disciples responded in obedient faith by waiting for God’s promised power instead of trying to manufacture ministry in their own strength. (Acts 1:4-5; Acts 1:14; Acts 2:1-4)
  2. 2️⃣ Spirit-empowered witness happens when ordinary believers gladly speak the wonders of God with courage and clarity. (Acts 2:4-11; Luke 24:48-49; Acts 1:8)
  3. 3️⃣ Peter showed spiritual growth by boldly opening Scripture and explaining current events through God’s revealed Word. (Acts 2:14-21; Joel 2:28-32; 2 Timothy 3:16-17)
  4. 4️⃣ True spiritual maturity recognizes Jesus’ death and resurrection as the center of God’s saving plan rather than treating them as isolated events. (Acts 2:23-24; Isaiah 53:10-12; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4)
  5. 5️⃣ Growth in faith means seeing present reality from heaven’s perspective: Jesus is risen, exalted, and actively pouring out His Spirit. (Acts 2:32-33; Psalm 110:1; Hebrews 1:3)

🧭 LEADERSHIP DYNAMICS

  1. 1️⃣ Strong leadership begins with submission to God’s timing, not restless activity; the disciples led well because they first learned to wait well. (Acts 1:4; Acts 1:8; Psalm 27:14)
  2. 2️⃣ God often advances His mission strategically by bringing opportunity to His people before sending His people outward. (Acts 2:5-11; Matthew 28:19-20; John 4:35)
  3. 3️⃣ Peter models decisive leadership by stepping forward in a confusing moment and giving the crowd a clear biblical explanation. (Acts 2:14-16; Titus 1:9; Nehemiah 8:8)
  4. 4️⃣ Effective spiritual leaders connect prophecy, present events, and the person of Jesus so people can understand what God is communicating. (Acts 2:16-21; Acts 2:22-24; Luke 24:44-47)
  5. 5️⃣ God-centered leadership does not soften truth to protect the audience; it speaks clearly about sin, God’s plan, Christ’s resurrection, and Christ’s exaltation. (Acts 2:23-24; Acts 2:32-36; Galatians 1:10)
