⚠️ Lessons Learned – Warnings
- 1️⃣ Ignoring God’s guidance leads to unnecessary pain and regret (Isa 48:18).
- 2️⃣ Trusting our own wisdom over God’s path brings spiritual loss (Prov 14:12).
- 3️⃣ Treating God’s Word as optional instead of essential hardens the heart (Heb 3:15).
- 4️⃣ Refusing to listen when God speaks will eventually bring discipline (Isa 48:17–19).
- 5️⃣ Starting a new year without God’s direction repeats old failures (Jas 4:13–15).
💥 Lessons Learned – Failures
- 1️⃣ Israel often refused to follow the way God said was best (Isa 48:18–19).
- 2️⃣ God’s people had the prophets yet still resisted His counsel (2 Chr 36:15–16).
- 3️⃣ Many hear God’s Word but do not put it into practice (Jas 1:22).
- 4️⃣ Pride keeps people from admitting they need God’s direction (Prov 16:18).
- 5️⃣ Failing to seek the Lord in crisis leads to fear-driven decisions (Isa 30:1–2).
🚫 Lessons Learned – Sins
- 1️⃣ Relying on human wisdom instead of the Lord’s teaching is sin (Jer 17:5).
- 2️⃣ Ignoring God’s daily invitation to listen dishonors His sovereignty (Isa 50:4–5).
- 3️⃣ Treating God’s commands as suggestions reveals a rebellious heart (1 Sam 15:22–23).
- 4️⃣ Complaining about life’s challenges while refusing God’s wisdom is hypocrisy (Phil 2:14–16).
- 5️⃣ Neglecting Scripture while seeking advice from everywhere else is spiritual negligence (Ps 1:1–2).
🏆 Lessons Learned – Successes
- 1️⃣ God promises to teach His people what is best for them (Isa 48:17).
- 2️⃣ The Lord directs His children in the way they should go (Prov 3:5–6).
- 3️⃣ A “well-instructed tongue” can refresh weary people with God’s Word (Isa 50:4).
- 4️⃣ Joseph’s obedience to God’s warnings protected Mary and Jesus (Matt 2:13–14).
- 5️⃣ Believers who listen and respond quickly to God’s leading become a blessing to their families (Josh 24:15).
🌱 Lessons Learned – Spiritual Growth
- 1️⃣ Begin each day by listening for the Lord’s voice (Isa 50:4).
- 2️⃣ Memorizing key promises anchors us in confusing seasons (Ps 119:11).
- 3️⃣ God’s wisdom is available to those who humbly ask (Jas 1:5).
- 4️⃣ Following God’s leading one day at a time builds lifelong trust (Matt 6:33–34).
- 5️⃣ Letting God’s Word “soak in” shapes how we face every new year (Rom 12:2).
🧭 Lessons Learned – Leadership Principles
- 1️⃣ Godly leaders model what it looks like to seek the Lord’s direction first (Ps 25:4–5).
- 2️⃣ Leaders must cultivate a listening ear to God morning by morning (Isa 50:4–5).
- 3️⃣ Parents and grandparents are called to be trustworthy guides for the next generation (Deut 6:6–7).
- 4️⃣ Wise leaders point people back to God’s promises, not their own opinions (1 Pet 4:11).
- 5️⃣ Leadership in the home and church starts with confidence that “the Lord is your Redeemer” and Teacher (Isa 48:17).
