⚠️ The 5 Greatest Mistakes
- 1️⃣ Begging for quick relief instead of seeing God’s strategy (Ex. 10:1–2).
- 2️⃣ Trusting “Ra” and familiar lights more than the LORD of light (Ex. 10:21–23).
- 3️⃣ Treating plagues as random disasters instead of purposeful signs (Ex. 10:1–2, 9:16 echo).
- 4️⃣ Living as spectators of God’s work when obedience is required (Ex. 12:3–13).
- 5️⃣ Forgetting to mark time for testimony—the calendar of God’s deliverance (Ex. 12:2).
💥 The 5 Greatest Failures
- 1️⃣ Pharaoh’s refusal to learn from escalating judgments (Ex. 10 entire arc).
- 2️⃣ Magicians’ collapse—unable to sustain counterfeits in the end (implied trajectory to Ex. 10–12).
- 3️⃣ Leadership fatigue turned to rage rather than repentance (Ex. 10:28–29).
- 4️⃣ People paralyzed by devastation instead of turning to the LORD (Ex. 10:7, devastation backdrop).
- 5️⃣ Delay in household readiness; obedience had to become immediate and precise (Ex. 12:3–11).
🚫 The 5 Greatest Sins
- 1️⃣ Mental—pride that hardens under partial relief (Ex. 10:1,7; pattern of hardening).
- 2️⃣ Mental—idolatry of created powers (Ra, Seth) exposed by darkness and locusts (Ex. 10:12–23).
- 3️⃣ Verbal—threats to kill rather than submit to truth (Ex. 10:28).
- 4️⃣ Overt—systemic oppression of God’s people despite clear revelation (Ex. 10–11).
- 5️⃣ Overt—refusing the sign of substitutionary blood when offered (Ex. 12:7,13 contrast).
🌱 Great Spiritual Growth Applied
- 1️⃣ Interpret resistance through Divine Viewpoint: God builds platforms for greater glory (Ex. 10:1–2).
- 2️⃣ Live in “Goshen distinction”: remain under God’s covering when judgment falls (Ex. 10:23).
- 3️⃣ Obey precisely and promptly—details matter in deliverance (Ex. 12:3–11).
- 4️⃣ Start a testimony calendar—record God’s dates and deeds (Ex. 12:2).
- 5️⃣ Teach the next generation—tell children and grandchildren what God has done (Ex. 10:2).
🧭 Great Leadership Principles Gleaned
- 1️⃣ State the purpose behind the pain—“that My name might be proclaimed” (Ex. 9:16; 10:2).
- 2️⃣ Shift spectators into participants—move households to action (blood on doorframes) (Ex. 12:7–13).
- 3️⃣ Lead with distinction—protect people while confronting idols (Ex. 10:23; 12:12).
- 4️⃣ Hold firm boundaries with tyrants; don’t return to fruitless rooms (Ex. 10:28–29).
- 5️⃣ Plan the exit while still in the crisis—belts on, sandals laced, staff in hand (Ex. 12:11).
